GITEX Europe 2025 (21 – 23 May, Messe Berlin) marked the inaugural European edition of GITEX Global. Positioned as Europe’s most global tech and start-up event, it brought together over 2.500 exhibitors, more than 1.500 start-ups, and 800 investors! At the venue we have talked to various international exhibitors to gather insights from all over the world!
VC Magazin: You are an exhibitor at GITEX Europe 2025, with which expectations did you come to Berlin?
Rubešová: Our expectations are very high because we were already at GITEX in Dubai and so we came with quite high expectations of meeting potential clients or potential start-ups for our Cohort 5, which will be happening in Malta. We are very happy to be here!
VC Magazin: What is SuperCharger Ventures‘ main area of focus?
Rubešová: What we essentially do is, that we are a start-up accelerator in Malta. We do a lot of events for our cohort and for the public in Malta. We bring a lot of start-ups from abroad specifically for that reason – We want them to relocate to Malta. There are amazing schemes from Malta Enterprise. They get a lot of great activities, investors from our side and our investor club. So, Malta is really the best place to be if you are a small start-up wanting to scale.
VC Magazin: Which technologies are you noticing the most these days?
Rubešová: Our accelerator is currently only focusing on Edtech, although we are looking into expanding into Fintech as well. One of the largest start-ups that we’ve had currently was in our last cohort, which was Cohort 3, and it was AltSchool from Nigeria. We are very proud of them. They went through our Supercharger Ventures accelerator, and they are an amazing company from Africa.
VC Magazin: Where do you see the accelerator in 5 to 10 years?
Rubešová: We are currently looking into relocating both to Africa and to the Middle East. So, I see a huge potential of being on practically speaking every continent. We’re currently in Europe and also in Asia already. So, hopefully we’ll be at every single one of those!
VC Magazin: Thank you for the interview!
