Spain: The crisis is a positive thing for entrepreneurship

esi: Who are you, what do you do and what makes you an expert on your start-upcountry?
David: My name is David Mora and I am leading the Entrepreneurship Program of La Salle Technova Barcelona. What we are doing is helping entrepreneurs who want to start a technological start-up. We are providing all of our expertise, helping them in business development and fund raising.

esi: What is cool about your start-upcountry, what inspires you and keeps you thriving?
David: Barcelona is one of the best cities to start a company. We have an excellent ecosystem, weather and people. Our business environment is excellent and we have a lot of different cool events every week related to entrepreneurship. It is very easy to get in contact with different entrepreneurs and receive support from everyone.

esi: What makes you shake your head about your start-upcountry, what needs to be improved?
David: It is difficult to access private investment and to get public funding is too bureaucratic and also slow. Noone really helps entrepreneurs and to maintain a company is expensive because it has too much government costs.

esi: What’s some cool fact we are likely not to know about your start-upcountry?
David: The most amazing event for entrepreneurs is hold in Barcelona: The Mobile World Congress. I love to go there, because there are a lot of cool events afterwards with different international entrepreneurs.

esi: Thank you for the interview.
