GITEX Europe 2025 (21 – 23 May, Messe Berlin) marked the inaugural European edition of GITEX Global. Positioned as Europe’s most global tech and start-up event, it brought together over 2.500 exhibitors, more than 1.500 start-ups, and 800 investors! At the venue we have talked to various international exhibitors to gather insights from all over the world!
VC Magazin: You are an exhibitor at GITEX Europe 2025, with which expectations did you come to Berlin?
Mambo: We are very excited to be part of GITEX Europe because this gives us an opportunity for us to bring in the Kenyan cyber security talent into the German market. Our company, Yelbridges, is very focused towards offering cyber security services and my expectation is to meet new business partners, bring on board new clients, meet other entities where we can collaborate and continue building the business relationship between Germany and Kenya.
VC Magazin: What is Yelbridges‘ main area of focus?
Mambo: Yelbridges is a cyber security company offering both services and solutions to organizations to mitigate against cyber threats. So we provide remote penetration testing, we have a security operation center where we monitor our customers 24 by 7. We also have a compliance solution to support organizations comply with data privacy laws, for example GDPR or any other privacy law. And also we provide trainings and lastly we support organizations in implementing information security management standards, basically the ISO 27001 standard. In Kenya we work with almost all sectors, the financial sector, insurance sector, manufacturing, you name it. In general SMEs & start-ups, because they need our services.
VC Magazin: Where do you see the Kenyan cyber security market?
Mambo: The Kenyan market is very tech oriented! We are seeing a lot of digitization thanks to the government that is also promoting digitization in almost everything that we are doing. So there is a growing market for digitization as well as security of course is embedded towards the offering of digital services. The government today provides almost all their services digitally. So of course the corporates, the SMEs and the start-ups are also oriented towards the same thing.
VC Magazin: How do you collaborate with German market players?
Mambo: We already have existing customers, based in Frankfurt and Hannover. That’s why we are here at GITEX so that we grow that market because we see a lot of opportunities. I think the market in Germany would benefit a lot from the Kenyan market because we have very qualified security professionals. And also we provide our services at a very competitive rate.
